Maslinica on Šolta – A Jewel of the Croatian Adriatic

Drone video from Maslinica on Šolta – discover one of Croatia's most beautiful harbors with crystal clear water and Mediterranean flair.

Maslinica – one of Croatia’s most beautiful harbour villages

There are places you visit once and soon forget. And then there are places like Maslinica on the island of Šolta. As soon as you enter the small harbour by boat, it is easy to understand why Maslinica is so popular among sailors.

The combination of the modern marina in Maslinica and the historic Martinis Marchi castle hotel gives this place its distinctive character. Traditional stone houses right by the waterfront and the crystal-clear sea create an atmosphere that is unmistakably Dalmatian – peaceful, Mediterranean and unhurried. Despite its popularity, Maslinica has retained much of its original charm.

We regularly visit Maslinica on our sailing holidays in Croatia. Whether for a relaxed evening in one of the local konobas, a walk along the waterfront or simply to watch the sunset from the cockpit of our catamaran, Maslinica is one of our favourite stops on the Croatian Adriatic.

With our drone video, we want to give you an impression of what makes this small harbour on Šolta so special. From the air, the turquoise water, the sheltered harbour and its beautiful location on the island’s west coast are particularly impressive.

If you want to explore Croatia by catamaran, Maslinica should definitely be part of your sailing itinerary. For us, this small harbour is one of those places where we always find ourselves wanting to stay a little longer than originally planned.

There is another good reason to stay: Šampjer restaurant, located above the village. With its elevated position and views across the surrounding islands, it is one of our favourite restaurants in the region and a perfect way to end a day in Maslinica.
